I started at ten, writing Scratch at CoderDojo Rotterdam.
- Story
- I learned Scratch and Python there. A few years later I was the one coaching kids, at CoderDojo Bibliotheek Maassluis. At Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam I learned design and front end, and taught myself mobile development on the side. That side project became AntScout.
- How I work
- I like owning the whole thing: the screens people touch, the model that recognises an ant, the database behind it. I would rather build something specific from scratch than bend a template until it almost fits.
- Off screen
- Gym, macro photography (hence the ant), tinkering with hardware and 3D printing parts for it, and small projects that only exist because I wanted to see if they would work.
